If K-2 students are taking a second hour class after their first hour class, DASEP onsite staff will transfer them to the later classes. Parents and caregivers should pick up students at either 3;45 or 5:00 at Door 10, the designated side exit facing Harvard Street (to immediate left of main entrance). - On Friday:
At the school’s 1:40pm dismissal time, DASEP onsite staff members pick up K-2 students and bring them directly to their DASEP classes. Students in grades 3 and 4 will go independently to their classes. First-hour classes run from 2:00-3:00pm. After a 15 minute transition time, most second-hour classes run from 3:15-4:15pm.
How to register
Go to the Registration page by clicking “Registration” in the upper right-hand corner. Please consult General Instructions for Registration on the Registration page for complete instructions. We recommend that you filter by your child’s grade and the days desired, and click on the class name to view its description. You can register for multiple classes at a time but only by one child at a time. After filling out the form, you will be directed to pay by credit card (but, if needed, you can email us for instructions on how to pay by check or PayPal). You’ll then receive an email once you have registered.
Important: You do not need an account to register for a class.
- Classes will be filled on a “First Come, First Served” basis.
- Only credit card payments will be accepted online (payment by check is possible–please contact registration@dasep.org).
- You can only register only ONE child at a time.
- You’ll receive an email once you have registered and another email once your payment has been processed.
Tuition Assistance
Financial support is offered to as many eligible families as possible. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to be considered for tuition assistance. Note that to secure your child’s place in one or more class, there is a minimum payment $30.00 due at registration and it will be spread evenly across the items in your cart. You will be contacted for additional payment, depending upon the amount of aid requested and granted. We regret that at this time, no tuition assistance is available for classes offered in partnership with The Makery.

PROGRAM POLICIES
Inclement Weather Policy
In the event that the Brookline Superintendent of Schools cancels school and/or after school programming due to inclement weather (“snow day”) or for any other reason, DASEP will not take place. Due to staffing and space constraints, DASEP may not be able to offer make-up classes.
Privacy Policy
This policy covers how DASEP uses your family’s personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal information. Any personal information received will only be used to process your registration or for other official DASEP business We will not sell or redistribute your information to anyone unaffiliated with DASEP and request of anyone who has left the organization to destroy any such information that may be in their possession.
Photo/Video Policy
From time to time, DASEP may photograph or videotape classes or events for educational purposes, website and publications. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or videotaped, please check the appropriate box on the registration form, or submit a brief written statement to DASEP’s Executive Director.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you or your child decide not to proceed with a class after having paid but before the class begins, the tuition payment will be immediately refunded via the same method you paid. However, the $30 registration fee is non-refundable.
After 1 week from the first attendance, if you or your child wish to withdraw from a class and substitute another class that has available space but a higher tuition, this is possible, but the difference must be made up by personal check to DASEP. If the new class has a lower tuition, we regret that we cannot offer a refund in these cases.
After 1 week from the first attendance, if you or your child wish to withdraw from a class with NO substitute, the tuition payment will be refunded via the same method you paid. However, the $30 registration fee is non-refundable. If more than 7 days have passed from the first attendance, if you or your child wish to withdraw from a class with no substitute, the tuition paid will be forfeited, unless there is a waiting list for the class, and another child can take your child’s place. In any case, the $30 registration fee is non-refundable.
Note: this policy does not apply to classes offered in partnership with The Makery. See separate policy on classes offered with The Makery on Registration page.
Behavior Policy
All students participating in DASEP classes have the right to a safe, enriching, and fun experience in a caring and supportive environment. As such, DASEP reserves the right to deny registration to a child whose behavior interferes with this right and/or disrupts the normal class routine. Examples of such behavior include but are not limited to: a student who has been disruptive in a previous DASEP class; a student who demonstrates behavior that could be a danger to him or herself or others; or a student who requires a level of attention from the instructor that impedes his or her ability to attend to the needs of other students and/or run a safe and engaging class. In addition, DASEP reserves the right to withdraw a student from a class if he or she demonstrates the aforementioned types of behavior and/or distracts other students to the extent that they cannot safely enjoy the class. DASEP also reserves the right to remove a child from a class or from the program entirely if he/she poses a significant danger to himself or others, including bullying. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated, and any child found to be bullying risks immediate dismissal from the program. No refunds or adjustments will be given in any of these cases.
DASEP does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, political beliefs, physical or mental disability, marital status, religious beliefs, national origin, cultural heritage, or any other protected characteristic.
